Fried Mussels

INGREDIENTS
- 1 bag of large mussels
- corn oil
BATTER INGREDIENTS FOR FRYING
- 1 egg
- 1 tsp baking powder
- a glass of beer
- 1/2-1 tsp salt
- white pepper
- and as much niseste (thin wheat flour) as the liquid needs to become a thick batter.
METHOD
- When you want lenten batter will mix for each cup niseste, 1 tsp baking powder, and will dissolve in the beer, so you get a thick batter.
- Leave the batter for at least half an hour to swell slightly.
- Drain the mussels very well, sticking two together and dip them into flour.
- Then shake them well to remove the spare flour and dip in batter.
- Fry in corn oil at medium temperature until they get a gold color.
- Add lemon juice if you want.
