Fava (Yellow split peas)

INGREDIENTS
  • 1 cup fava
  • 1 dry onion
  • Salt and pepper
METHOD
  1. In a saucepan add the fava and water.
  2. When it starts boiling remove the foam that created and add the onion (skinned and whole), salt, pepper and let it boil.
  3. Empty as much water you can from the saucepan and pass the fava from the tool for mash.
  4. The fava is ready to serve.
TIP 1: Serve with chopped parsley, onion (dried or fresh), some olive oil and lemon.
TIP 2: Can be combined with fish, fried eggplant, fried zucchini, fried peppers …
