In a saucepan add the sugar and water and warm it up to dissolve sugar, and let the mixture to cool.
Squeeze lemons and strain the juice to remove the fibers.
Mix in a jug or bottle the water with lemon juice and stir.
In a glass, add 1/3 (or 1/4) lemonade and fill the rest glass with cold water, ice cubes and a slice of fresh lemon and serve.
Keep the rest syrup refrigerated.
TIP 1: Attention! You have to add always water on the glass when you serve because it’s a syrup. TIP 2: With this amount of ingredients you have 500 ml of syrup.
i can bake good cakes but when it comes to this simple lemonade i’m a dope! i’ve always wanted a distinct orientation like this for lemonade. thank you.
Our lemon tree is full and Liv has been asking to make lemonade… I’ve never really had a good recipe to follow and it comes out different every time. This time we will follow your measurements and hopefully have better luck!
Homemade lemonade is a true treat. Check out some twists with fruit and herbs I played aroudn with this summer. Combining the much easier sugar syrup technique with my other ideas definitely works for me!

Very nice. Sounds like a lemon version of the ‘mandarinatha’ I tasted in Cyprus. How long does it keep in the fridge?

Sweet and sharp and so refreshing. I like to make up this drink with sparkling water, loads of ice and as Yesim says, sprigs of fresh mint.
