Peas with tomato sauce

INGREDIENTS
- 500gr peas
- 1 large onion (chopped)
- 3-4 tomatoes (pureed or chopped into small cubes)
- 2 medium carrots (cut into pieces)
- 2 medium potatoes (cut into pieces)
- 1 cup olive oil
- dill (chopped)
- Salt and pepper
METHOD
- In a saucepan heat the olive oil and sauté the onions until they get a light golden color.
- Sauté also carrots, peas and potatoes.
- Add the tomatoes, some water to cover your ingredients, the dill, salt and pepper and let it begin boil.
- Reduce the heat to half, and boil until the sauce thickens and the ingredients are boiled.
TIP: Serve with feta cheese and bread.
I love peas but never had them with tomatoes! This looks very tasty and I’m sure my family would love it!

This looks similar to my mom’s recipe. Do you use frozen peas in this recipe?
you can use fresh peas or frozen. it depends on the season…
