Rizogalo (rice pudding)

INGREDIENTS
- 1lt fresh milk
- 100gr rice (the type of rice that you use on soups)
- 200gr sugar
- salt
METHOD
- In saucepan add all ingredients and boil until rice is cooked.
- In case that the rice is boiled, but the milk is not thick, dissolve half a cup of cold milk, 2 teaspoons cornstarch, add it into the mixture to the saucepan and stir.
- Serve in bowls adding some cinnamon (powder) on top.

I think it is interesting that different cultures can end up with the same dishes, especially the cinnamon, as that’s not something you see on rice puddings in Ireland or the UK. Clearly the Greeks and Danes knows what tastes good!
